System Auditing

CPA offer a comprehensive system audit service, in order to benchmark a system efficiency and output.

Each compressor can be tested by means of an "EN-ISO 1217 Positive Displacement Test," which can measure power-in versus air-out and an efficiency arrived at. This is the method that manufacturers must use prior to dispatching a new machine. We offer various means of Flow Measurement, Humidity and Hydro Carbon Testing and Profiling.

We do not recommend Data Loggers or Air-Scan surveys as a means of proving a system performance, as these are often very misleading

The CPA Compressed Air System Audit can be viewed below

Equipment Inspection: Condition & Viability

Inspection of all compressed air generation and air treatment equipment by qualified technicians for duty condition and suitability for the task required.

Performance Testing: Air generation equipment

ISO 1217 Subsonic compressor performance measurement of energy absorbed versus flow produced which is compared with the manufacturers principal data sheets for the compressor when new, giving an accurate efficiency value for the unit.

Compressor Duty Profiling: (Data logging)

Produces accurate historical data on some aspects of the loading cycles and system pressure with an assumed capacity and demand. All measured in real-time and illustrated in graph form.

Air Quality Analysis: Contaminate sampling

Testing of the air by means of Hygrometer for moisture and drager tube type analyser for hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.

Flow Measurement: Vortex Flow meter

Fully intrusive measurement of airflow through the system. Flow measurement of this type is accurate and allows us to establish the actual flow, pressure and temperature. The information is recorded within a read win program in real time and is illustrated in flow charts and graphs.

Leak Detection: Ultrasonic leak detection survey

Complete air-net investigation (where visible) in order to establish leakage. Air loss is estimated by size of leak and recorded on plant drawing for repair by client or others as appointed.

Compressed Air Distribution System Survey

Thorough examination of the pipework system for defects in design and areas where improvement will result in energy savings.
