Posted 21st August CPA has invested in the industry’s most advanced Pressure Systems Safety Regulations equipment recording system.  Our equipment tagging and data logging system allows clients to comply with legislation relating to compressed air and ancillary equipment.

Our Total Access Database then provides programmed inspection dates for the equipment, which is registered by unique identification number.  By performing “Regular Programmed Inspection" of safety equipment CPA can help our clients meet their obligations under current PSSR regulations and Health and Safety legislation.

Pictured below is the latest Enershield Energy Saving Air barrier supplied by CPA Total Air Solutions.  This unit has been installed in the factory of Strathmore Mineral Water, part of the AG Barr Group.  Donald Fyfe, Chief Engineer at the Forfar plant, explained that "the barrier has allowed two 27.5kw heaters in one section of the factory to be turned off.  The energy saved less the energy used for the Enershield (15kw) has made the return on investment (ROI) less than 6 months”.   One of the other added benefits is that the factory staff have all commented that the area where the barrier is installed is now noticeably warmer than before.

Steven Jeffrey of CALCARB LTD explained that: "The Enershield air barrier was purchased to minimise the risk of carbon dust entering our CNC control panel.  The project has been a major success: it appears that no dust is entering the clean room.  In the past, our costs on replacement parts within the control panel was in excess of £45k.  Since fitting the Enershield unit we haven't seen a drive card failure which is testament to the effectiveness of the air curtain."

World-class medical devices manufacturer Baxter have entrusted CPA with the task of reducing their costs relating to the manufacture of compressed air. Realistic savings in excess of ?36,000 per annum have been identified, and the work required to achieve these results actioned.

The inclusion of an EnergAir management suit among other additions and changes to the system design has turned a basic and inefficient installation comprising of Atlas Copco fixed speed and variable speed oil-free compressors into a highly efficient package. The EMAS Manager software in turn allows the client to graph and trend the energy to air relationship and unlike other systems actually prove the savings in real time.

As most of our clients are aware, the CPA group of companies have provided a comprehensive range of compressed air related services and products for many years. Our traditional client base has grown in strong partnership with us and now we find ourselves trading in new areas and with new clients and even in different countries.

Our old name "Compressor Parts and Accessories Ltd" and our old logo are to change in time with the new markets that we find ourselves in. Mainly to eliminate confusion, but also in keeping with the company into which we have evolved.

Our original market was the manufacture and supply of various compressor parts and some associated services. During 1993 this developed into a specialist engineering services company and the manufacture of compressor parts became a very small part of the portfolio. Since that time we have further developed with the addition of CPA Ireland Ltd and CPA Pneumatic Services Ltd being included in the CPA group of companies.

New clients are often confused by the old name and assume that we are simply a parts supply company. In order to consolidate our position as a single source supplier for, compressed air generation, treatment, hire, service, consultancy, industrial automation supply, pneumatics, air knife technology, industrial drying, blowers and vacuum systems, we are soon to rename the company

CPA Engineered Solutions Ltd.

We are also to introduce our new blue, white and black logo with the tag line.
